Blessing of the Animals—Weds., October 4th, we hold the Blessing of the Animals service-- St. Francis, the patron Saint of Animals. Bring your pets of all types to the side lawn, by the front steps of the church for a special blessing.
It’s time to start thinking about ”Bowl Filler” pet food & supplies donations.—
ONLY 2 WEEKS LEFT!!!
To celebrate St. Francis, we will be partnering with A HOPE and the West Florida Council on Aging, Meals on Wheels program to assist senior citizens who are on a limited income, provide food for their household pet. This is what A HOPE calls their ‗Bowl Filler Program‘. Each month an organization or business from the community signs up to help provide food & supplies to specific senior citizens in need. Senior citizens in need are screened through the W. FL Council on Aging and that list is sent to AHOPE monthly
How St. Mary’s will help?
For the month of September we will collect pet food and supplies. A Pet List will come out soon and you will have the opportunity to sponsor a pet for the month by supplying the suggested items that will be listed. Should you not want to sponsor a specific pet, you can still help by donating cat /dog food, treats, kitty litter or pet toys. Look for more information to come very soon. Our contact for Bowl fillers will
be Carol Culton for any questions 850-377-9594 or cculton@bellsouth.net

Give yourself a little TLC—Evonne Woycitzky, a Licensed Medical Massage Therapist, (LMMT), and member of St. Mary’s, will be offering massages at the Hall on the 2nd & 4th Tuesday of each month. The
cost will be a Free Will donation by each client (suggested $35-$50). A portion of the massage donations will be given towards the purchase of a house (or houses) for families in Guatemala, through the Project Guatemala Ministry.
Contact Evonne to schedule your appointment. 831-601-0251.

SNEAKER DONATIONS—The women’s barbershop chorus White Sands A Cappella, which Vickie Dollhausen is a member of, competed in a Regional Contest in April and scored high enough to be eligible to compete in the International Contest in November. However, some of our members are
struggling to afford the trip and we need your help. We have begun a fundraising project with a group called "GotSneakers." Their purpose is as follows: We are paid something for every pair of sneakers you provide – even your old ratty ones. Rather than throwing them away, won’t you consider donating them to us? I will leave a collection tub in the back of the church and in Father Matt’s office. Any help you can provide would be most appreciated.
We will also be having a show in October and you are all invited to come hear us. More information on the show to follow.
PLEASE DONATE YOUR TENNIS SHOES Any condition accepted. Donations benefit
WHITE SANDS A CAPPELLA CHORUS
We are collecting funds for travel to Grand Rapids, Michigan in November for International Competition.
Financial donations will also be accepted.

St. Mary’s shirt sign up. It‘s time to place another order for T Shirts & Polo shirts. There is a sign up sheet in the hall. The cost of each shirt depends on how many we can order...the more shirts, the lower the price. More details will be in the Sept. newsletter and on the bulletin board in the hall.
